Fall Adventures

Tired of hybrid & virtual learning? Join us for EcoCamp Fall Adventures!

Bring your family together this Thanksgiving with EcoCamp Adventure kits. Adventure kits include all the supplies you and your K-7th grader need to explore, create, and learn in nature, with both indoor and outdoor activities designed to deepen your student’s understanding of science and strengthen their connection with the natural world.

Hit the trails at Pickering Creek and use the included activity guide and supplies to discover all that the outdoors have to offer. Work together to complete a Fall scavenger hunt, search under logs for hidden insects, and discover why Fall leaves change color. It’s the perfect way to keep busy over the holiday weekend during the school break, while spending time together as a family and learning about nature!

Each kit costs $65 and includes:

  • Student workbook with 3 indoor and 3 outdoor activities
  • Supplies for activities (e.g. magnifying lens, test tubes, puffy paint)
  • Clues to follow and equipment to borrow for Thankful Rock Garden
  • EcoCamp drawstring bag to help explore on the go

Register for a Sprouts kit for K-3rd grade students, and/or
a Saplings kit for 4th – 7th graders.
Although activities will be the same for both kits, explanations, questions, and links to school curriculum will differ between the age groups.

Thankful Rock Garden
Exploring beyond the activities in your kit is encouraged! Not sure where to start? We’ve got you covered! Help us grow our Thankful Rock Garden by painting the rock in your kit with what you’re thankful for this year. Then, head out to Pickering Creek over Thanksgiving weekend (11/25 – 11/29), and see if you can follow the clues to plant your rock in the Thankful Rock Garden! Pick up your first clue and borrow some of our equipment to help you explore from the Welcome Center. For each kit purchased, we’ll leave one set of clues, equipment, and directions in our Welcome Center labeled with your name over the holiday weekend.
